Udupi Bus Station is situated in the heart of Udupi town. It is in close proximity to National Highway 17. From the station, State Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operates luxury, semi-luxury, express and passenger buses to all major towns and cities in Karnataka. Buses ply from Udupi to Manipal, Malpe, Brahmavar, Mangalore, Bangalore, Ankola, Kumta, Bhatkal, Dharwad and Belgaum. Inter-state services are operated to Mumbai and Pune.
Karavali Hotel and Hotel Rukmini Residency offer lodging facilities near the bus station. Chandramauleshwara Temple and Anantheshwara Temple are situated nearby.

You can take a train to Mangalore. Udupi is on the new Konkan railway line and is connected to Mumbai and Delhi.Udupi Railway Station is managed by the Konkan Railways. It is located about 2 km from Udupi town and is on the Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai rail route. Direct trains are available to Mumbai, Delhi, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. Traveling north, Kundapura Railway Station is the nearest main station. Just 3 km from the railway station is Udupi Sri Krishna Temple. The lovely Malpe Beach is about 8 km from here.
