    Best Time to Visit

    Thiruvananthapuram is pleasant all year round and September to May is the best time to visit. Although beautiful in the monsoons, the city is lashed with heavy rains that restrict outdoor activity.

    Weather

    Thiruvananthapuram enjoys the pleasant, tropical weather typical of the region. Being a coastal town, it is prone to humidity with temperatures in summer ranging between 32 deg C and 23.8 deg C and from 29 deg C to 20 deg C in winter. The monsoon months from May to September see heavy downpours.

    Climate

    The maximum temperature is around 340 c and the minimum temperature is 210 C. The humidity is high and rises to about 90% during the monsoon season. The city gets heavy rainfall of around 1700mm per year. The winter temperature comes down to about 200 C and summer temperatures can sometimes go as high as 350 C.
