The Ranthambore National Park is one of the important tiger reserves in India.
Ranthambore is set in very attractive county, covering 400 sq km of undulating dry deciduous jungle. There is an old fort and manycrumbling monuments. Jeeps and trucks run on set routes in the reserve. Ranthambore is a beautiful place, and there is a lot of wildlife. Originally the hunting ground of Jaipur's Maharaja; it is today home to the endangered tiger. Besides, caracal, panther, jackal, hyena, deer, and a rich variety of resident and migratory birds are found here. The Ranthambore Fort is 1000 years old and stands majestically at a height of215 m.
