How to reach
Road
Pushkar is on NH 89, 11 km off NH 8, which connects Delhi to Mumbai via Jaipur, Ajmer and Ahmedabad. Private operators run daily deluxe buses to and from Jaipur via Ajmer.Jaipur is 3-5 hours by road (depending on the type of bus you take). Jodhpur is 4-5 hours in the opposite direction. Buses to Pushkar leave at a different bus stand (near the Jain temple) from the other buses (south). By Train From Mumbai Central To Ajmer Aravli Express Train.
Hire a car from the several rental agencies in Rajasthan and reach Pushkar. It is connected to Delhi and Jaipur via NH8. Tour operators also organize private and luxury buses to reach here.
Well connected by frequent bus services to/from Ajmer, Delhi 403 km, Jaipur 145 km, udaipur 289 km, Mumbai 1120 km, Agra 377 km, Chennai 1992 km, Jodhpur 214 km etc.
Rail
Nearest railhead Ajmer Junction (11 km/ 15 mins). The Ajmer Shatabdi from Delhi and Jaipur is the best option. Auto fare to Pushkar ranges from Rs 80-120; taxi fare Rs 250 and above (Rs 400 and above during the fair).Ajmer is the closest railhead, 15 km away and well connected by trains. Hire an auto-rickshaw to reach Pushkar.
By rail from Delhi - the Delhi-Ahmedabad Mail is a decent overnight train (slow, but it gives you more time to sleep) while the Ajmer Shatabdi Express is the fastest way to get there. There are passenger trains (second unreserved only -- definitely an "experience") in the morning and evening to Jaipur and train links down to Ahmedabad. There is no longer a train link to Udaipur
Air
Nearest airport: Sanganer Airport, Jaipur (154 km/ 2 1/2 hrs). Taxi to Pushkar costs Rs 1,400. Rates can double during the Pushkar Fair.Sanganer Airport at Jaipur is the closest to Pushkar. Taxis can be hired to reach Pushkar.
Nearest airports is at Jaipur 145 km which is connected to other parts of the country by Indian Airlines and Jet Airways.
