November-February is when Pune has the best of its weather to offer visitors. Cool breeze, clear skies and refreshing nights make the visit pleasant. The rainy months from June-September are better avoided because the weather is unpredictable and may spoil your travel plans.

During the months from June to September Pune receives rain. Thus, period between the months of October and May are best for a visit to Pune. The summer months in Pune are hot and cottons are ideal. During winter you may carry Light Woollens in Pune.

Bright cottons for summer & sunglasses are a must! Carry raincoats & umbrellas if traveling in monsoon. Light woolens suffice in winter.

Climate

Pune, a city where people didn't even use fans earlie has summer temperatures which average between 260 C to 400 C and have been known to go as far up as 440 C in May. The monsoon brings desperately needed rains that cool the city in the months of June, July, August and September with average rainfall around 70cm. The winter months of late October temperatures hovering between 290 C to 100 C.
