Pondicherry - புதுச்சேரி

The French Riviera of the East Pondicherry (now Puducherry), also known as "The French Riviera of the East" is a Union Territory of India. It was formerly known as a French colony, consisting of four non-contiguous enclaves, or districts. Pondicherry is situated on the Coromandel Coast, about 160 km south of Chennai. It is bound on the east by the Bay of Bengal and on the other three sides by the South Arcot District of Tamil Nadu.
