Ambazari Lake
The Ambazari lake is situated 6km west of Nagpur. It is the largest and the most beautiful lake in the city. This place is very well managed and preserved by the Nagpur Municipal Coroporation. The Oranges of Nagpur are famous throught the world for their superior quality. These oranges are arranged in a "Mondha". It is an arrangement unique to Nagpur makets. The Nagpur oranges are cultivated in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. The orange is cultivated in an are of about 80,000 hectares in Vidarbha with a total production of nearly 5 lakh tons. A major part of the oranges produced here is exported to other countries of the world.Sitabuldi Fort
The sitabuidi fort is an important landmark of Nagpur, located on top of a hill, right in the city. This fort was built by a British officer in the year 1857. It is one of the oldest attractions of the city. One can view this park from the twin hills of Sitabuldi.The fort now houses the office of the Territorial Army, and is open to the public on National holidays.

Tekdi Ganapathi Temple
This temple is one of the most ancient and populat temples of Nagpur. It is located near the railway station. The temple is called Tekdi Ganapati as it is constructed on a hill and in Marathi Language, a hill is called as a Tekdi. It is believed to be approximately 250 years old. Earlier, the temple was not more than a tin shaded temple, but later it was constructed as one of the most respected temple. The construction of this Ganesha temple began in 1978 and was completed in 1984.Tadoba National Park
The Tadoba National Park is a small park, sprawled over an area of about 120 sq.km at an altitude of 200m. It is located 100km south of Nagpur and 45km north of the district headquarter.Tadoba is also known as "The Jewel of vidarbha". It is one of the oldest parks in Maharashtra and is also a project Tiger reserve since 1993. The area around Tadoba was once highly populated by the Gond tribals. The park is named after their local deity, ‘Taru', who, according to a legend, was killed in a fight with a tiger. HE is still worshipped by the local villagers as the deity of ‘Tadoba'.

Ramtek (58 km)
This legendary pilgrim centre has numerous temples dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita and Laxmana, who tarried awhile here. Kalidasa, the famous poet is also believed to have stayed here and wrote his masterpieces. A major 15day fair is held in November.According to legend, Lord Rama passed this way during his period of exile. There are temples dedicated to Rama and Lakshmana. At the foot of the hill is a charming inland lake Ramsagar.

Nagzira Wildlife Sancturary (170 km)
The scenic Sanctuary sprawls amidst the Tirora range of Bhandara Forest Division and is home to tiger, panther, bison, sloth bear, sambar, antelope, chital etc. The best time to visit is during April and May. Nearest bus stand is Sakoli, 22 km away. Other nearby towns are - Gondia (45 km) and Bhandara (75 km).Bor Wild Life Sanctuary (80 km)
The Sanctuary lies in the Hingni Range, north of Wardha. The forest abounds in wildlife like the panther, sloth bear, sambar, chital, barking deer and wild boar. The bird life found here is diverse and colourful. Fishing is possible in the lake.Nawegaon National Park (132 km)
It is inhabited by a rich and varied wildlife. The Nawegaon Lake is believed to have been built by Kolu Patel Koli in the 18th century. Pench National park (70 km)
The park covers an area of 257.26 Sq.km and comprises of tropical dry deciduous forests, which are home to tiger, panter, gaur, sambar, chital, barking deer, blue bull, macaque, langoor, wild boar, bear, wild dogs and civet cat. Best time to visit is from February to April. It is just 35kms from Ramtek.Tadoba National Park (127 km)
It is the best known game sancturary of Maharashtra. The forests here teems with animals like panthers, sambars, bisons, deer etc. Bird life too is divers and colourful. The lake in the middle of the park is held sacred by the tribals and is a haven for crocodiles. The best season to visit is from March to May.Declared a National Park in 1955 under the Wild life Protection Act. There is a crocodile breeding farm within the park as well, taken up as a preservation project. The Forest Dept. provides mini bus services in the National Park for observation of wild life. Elephant rides are also provided during the tourist season. The Park is open from 0430 to 1930 hrs
Dhakna - Kolkaz Wildlife Sanctuary (279 km)

Amravati, the base for visiting Chikhaldara, is one of the biggest cotton markets in the country. It is also place of pilgrimage with the Amba Temple.Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary (160 Km): Situated in the Tirora range of Bhandara Forest Divisions. The tiger, bison, chital, gaur, sloth bear, sambar, four horned antelope, blue bull, spotted deer, barking deer and mouse deer are some of the animals which can be seen. The bird life is rich as well. Though open throughout the year, the best season, for viewing wildlife is from September to June.
