By Air
Kozhikode airport is located at a distance of about 25 km from the centre of the city. Kozhikode is well connected by air to Mumbai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Goa, Madurai and Chennai. The Chennai flight also touches Coimbatore and Madurai.Karipur Airport is the closest airport, located 26 ms from Kozhikode and connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Trichy and Trivandrum. Prepaid taxis are available for reaching the city.
By Rail
The Kozhikode railway station is located south of the Manachira Square. The city is well connected by train with important places like Mangalore, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Coimbatore, Goa and Mumbai.Calicut Station is connected to Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Mumbai and Mangalore by regular trains.

Street (Ph. 2722391).Direct trains/ coaches are available from Calicut to the major centres in India which include New Delhi, Jammu Tawi, Gorakhpur, Bombay, Calcutta, Gowhatti, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Madras, Ahmedabad, Indore, Trichy, Mangalore, Trivandrum and Varanasi. The Calicut bound trains take deviation from the main Madras-Cochin route from Palghat Junction.
Calicut is road connected to Bombay via Mangalore and Goa (NH17). The connection to Kanyakumari is via Cochin and Trivandrum (NH17 and NH47). Bangalore is connected via Sultan Battery, Gundlupet and Mysore (NH 212). Madras is via Malappuram, Palghat, Coimbatore and Salem (NH 213 and NH47), and Ooty is via Nilambur and Gudalur (State Highway).

Calicut is well linked with various destinations in Kerala and beyond. National Highway 17 links Calicut-Kozhikode with rest of the cities in Kerala and neighboring states.The NH17 connects Kozhikode to Kannur, Kasargod, Panjim, Mumbai and Mangalore. Public and private buses also ply between states in Kerala.

Car
Your only travel option. It's a good one. Kozhikode is a comfortable 8-hr drive from Bangalore. Leave early, race through Mysore and Gundlupet, then turn right and enjoy the drive over the lush hills of Wayanad and through Thamarasseri Ghat Pass to Kozhikode.
