Jaipur has extreme climates. The temperatures soar to as high as 47 degree Celsius during the summer and fall to about 4 degree Celsius during the winter. The ideal time to plan a trip to Jaipur would be between October and April.

Climate

The climate of Jaipur is extreme-hot and humid summers and chilly winters. The maximum temperature during the summers (from April to July) reaches a high of around 450 C. On the other hand winters have sunny and pleasant days and bitterly cold nights. Temperature can touch a low of around 50 C, mostly during the nights.

Best Time to Visit

October to March is the best time to visit the Pink City. Days tend to be sunny yet cool while nights are chilly. Most festivals arrive in winter while events and fairs are organised around this time especially for the tourist season. The Jaipur Heritage International festival takes place in January as does the colourful Kite festival, followed by the Elephant festival, Holi and Gangaur in March.

Weather

Jaipur suffers extreme weather. Its proximity to the Thar desert ensures scorching summers and chilly winters. Summer temperatures rise up to 48 degrees C and drop below 8 degrees in winter. The monsoon season lasts from June to September with usually about 89 cm of rain.
