Home to the elusive Big Cat, the reserve is still the best place to catch a glimpse of the beast. And even if you miss it, you would still get to see different species of spotted and barking deer, chital, sambar and elephants. The best way to explore the grasslands is on a jeep safari, accompanied by an expert guide. Drive through the thick and quiet jungles, visit the waterholes, discover pug marks and trees scratched by tigers and catch an occasional sight of the sloth bears and other mammals in the jungle. There are also over 600 species of birds and various reptiles. While traversing the depths of the jungle, keep in mind that you should not step out of the jeep, wear loud colours and perfumes and litter the jungles with trash.
