The Best Time to visit Coorg is from November to April. The temperature variations experienced at Coorg are not major. The climate remains pleasant throughout the year. The temperature hovers between 30 and 16 degrees in summers and winters. Coorg being a hill station attracts a lot of tourists. You must carry a warm clothes while planning a trip to Coorg. Coorg enjoys a moderate climate. Winters are pleasantly cool at about 18 C, though between December and February, the minimum temperature may go down to 9 C. Summers are only slightly warm at 25 C to 30 C. June-August sees heavy rainfall. So the best time to visit Kodagu is from October-April. But those who can brave the monsoon showers are rewarded with unforgettable sights.

Best Time to Visit

November - April The best season to visit Coorg is during winter - between September and March. However, Coorg's cool, moderate climate makes it pleasant to visit anytime of year. March and April are filled with the fragrance of coffee blossoms and May is the best time for a swim in the cool waters of the Kaveri or for a dip near the Iruppu or Abbi Falls. When the rains arrive in June, the Coorg countryside is transformed into a lush green and many seasonal waterfalls can be spotted between July and September. A number of Kodava festivals mark the tourist season in Coorg.

Weather

Coorg enjoys the moderate to cool climate of a hill station. Winters are pleasant at 15-20 degrees Celsius but can get chilly from December to February when temperatures often drop to 9 degrees C. Summers are pleasantly sunny at 25-28 degrees Celsius while the monsoon months of June to August are besieged with heavy rainfall and are cool, humid and wet. The region sometimes experiences surprise November showers.
