Best Time to Visit

October-March, when the temperatures are not too high. If you can brave the summer heat though, the ideal time would be visiting the city during the Urs Festival.

The best time to visit Ajmer is from October to March. This is also the time of the Pushkar fair when Ajmer sees a frenzy of tourist activity. Summer months are best avoided. The Urs takes place in August, and although crowded, it is a good time to see the city in its element.
