Kalhatti Falls is also widely known as Kalahsti Falls. The origin of the waterfall is steeped in myths and legends. The picturesque Kalhatti Falls in Karnataka is located in Kallattipura, Chikmagalur District. The Kemmangundi hill station is at a distance of kilometers from Kalhatti Falls. Apart from the beautiful falls the adjacent forest area is also well known for its natural beauty and adventure sports.

About 10 km from Kemmangundi, Kalhatti Falls is mesmerizing offering an excellent view of the cascading water from the Chandra Drona Hill from 45m above in front of the Veerabhadreshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The entrance of the temple is adorned with three elephants. The devotees believe that the water of Kalhatti Falls has the power to heal.
