Barkana Falls, at a height of 259 mt, are located at a distance of about 80 km from Thirthahally, in the Balehalli forest area. It is a valley with natural water of Seetha river.

They are located near Agumbe in Shimoga district of state of Karnataka. Barkana falls are formed by Sita river. Currently Barkana falls are the prime source of one of the hydro electric projects in Karnataka.

The Barkana falls and picturesque Barkana valley are major tourist attractions. By trekking through mountain trails, one can reach up to the Barkana viewpoint that offers a panoramic view of the valley beneath.
