This peak is the highest (6,317ft) in karnataka and the highest between Nilgiris and the Himalayas.

This peak can be reached from Chikamagalur and is around 15+kms distance from the town. A few buses going towards the bababudangiri will take you to the foothill of the peak where a arch(Sarpadaari) is built saying about the peak Mullaina giri. This could be the starting point or a little before this spot another track (jeep track)takes you to the peak.

From here it is nice trek to Kemmangundi via Bababudangiri and GaLi kere.
