The museum depicts 130 years of evolution and development of the Indian Railways. The National Museum is some of India's most prestigious institutions. The Indus Valley displays many antiquities excavated from Mohenjodaro and Harappa, like terracotta toys, images and pots, jewellery, seals, bronze and copper implements and sculptures. The most outstanding object here is teh lyrical bronze Dancing Girl. There are a number of rare manuscripts and miniature paintings,textiles,coins and tribal art, but the museum's most significant gallery is the one of Central Asian exhibits.
