Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab Pvt Ltd (HTSL) is an integrated research and development centre of Honeywell International Inc. The Company started its Indian operations as an offshore development centre, with its headquarters in Bangalore. The company provides primarily product solutions & analytics, new product introduction, advanced research and technology and IT & business process solutions support to Honeywell businesses across the globe. HTSL supports and develops products primarily in two key areas viz, aerospace and control solutions. The company also offers products and services like real-time embedded systems, desktop tools, internet technologies and mission critical software. The product development centres of the company are located in Bangalore, Madurai and Pune in India; Beijing & Shanghai in China; Minneapolis & Phoenix in the US; Singapore and Brno in the Czech Republic.

It all began in October 1994 in Bangalore with Dr.Krishna Mikkilineni leading half a dozen people with an office in Electronics City, Bangalore India. It was called HISO then - Honeywell India Software Operations. In late 1995, the office shifted to Shivaji Nagar in the heart of Bangalore and today is headquartered in Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore with locations in Shanghai, Beijing, Brno, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Hyderabad and Madurai.

The development of the Silicon Valley of India seemed to be in tandem with the development of HTS. A hotbed for software development activity, Bangalore today houses many IT giants; given the fact that Bangalore is home to some of the best aerospace and defense establishments, HTS had every reason to drop anchor in this city and carve its niche, which it promptly did.

Initially, in its budding days, HTS was the off shore software development facility for Honeywell businesses worldwide in the areas of Aerospace and Automation Control Solutions. By early 1996-97, HTS started consolidating its base in India by building dedicated teams for its expanding portfolio. The next 6/7 years saw HTS establishing itself as a center of excellence in core engineering areas.

HTS has steadily climbed up the value chain since then, and its growth has been eventful and strewn with challenges. In these past few years of its journey, HTS has proved beyond doubt that its strength lies in its high caliber professionals who bring with them their expertise and knowledge and are instrumental in the growth of the organization.
