Initially set up as an offshore software development R&D wing of the parent company, American Megatrends has ventured into providing embedded/non embedded software development services to clients from across the globe. For FY07, American Megatrends' 84% revenue came from exports and the rest 16% was from domestic business. In August 2001, AMI sold its RAID assets, including its MegaRAID line to LSI Logic. This sale has allowed AMI to expand and develop its new StorTrends storage solution line of NAS and JBOD products.
