Acer India (Pvt) Ltd (Acer) was established in the year 1999. Acer is a wholly owned subsidiary of Acer Computer International Ltd. Acer purely operates in the hardware segment. It has its centres located in India at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Mumbai, Pune, Kochi, Guwahati, Nagpur and Chandigarh. In FY07, the hardware products & services contributed 95% of the total revenue, whereas remaining came from IT services. During FY07, the company entered into a unique tieup with Tata sky. In FY07, the company also entered into a special collaboration with ICICI Bank to redefi ne IT affordability among SMEs & SMBs.
