Malanada Temple is situated at Pooruvazhi near Adoor in Pathanamthitta District. The temple is dedicated to Duryodhana of the Mahabharata. The main ritual offering of this temple is toddy, an alcoholic beverage extracted from the coconut palm.

The Poruvazhi Malanada temple at Adoor in Pathanamthitta, Kerala is a unique one since it is the lone temple in Kerala where Duryodhana, the mythical Kaurava king of the epic Mahabharatha is worshipped. Toddy is the main offering of the temple. The one-day festival is usually celebrated in the month of March. It is featured by various folk art performances, and a Kettukazhcha procession in the evening with the motifs of bulls and horses and a decorated temple cart.

The Malanada Ketukazhcha is a unique annual festival that attracts thousands of devotees from all over the places. The festival is one of the major occasions of the region and is quiet a popular one for the whole of the stat and to the neighbouring ones as well. The uniqueness of the festival lies in the fact that the temple which is the official stage for the occasion is the one for Duryodhana, who according to the great epic Mahabharata was one of the antagonist cousins of Pandavas who incidentally were the heroes of the epic.
