Garden Tourism Festival - गार्डन पर्यटन महोत्सव

The Garden Tourism Festival - an annual 3-day festival of flowers is held at the end of the month February in the ancient Talkatora Gardens at Delhi, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Babar.
A theme based garden planning is the main attraction of this festival. Colourful display of varieties of flowers and exotic plants attracts the public. This is an occasion for the budding and professional horticulturists to exchange their knowledge and ideas. The participation of various Asian countries in the festival, is an added attraction which helps in promoting a closer relationship between Asian cities.
More than 15,000 plants including potted plants, foliage, cut flowers (dahlia, roses, 1,500 varieties of chrysanthemum and ikebana), medicinal plants, hanging baskets, garden equipment, accessories, fresh plants and everything related to the greens are displayed.
During the festival, activities like painting competition for kids, art camp for young artists and cultural programmes based on various themes are also organised. The festival organised by DTTDC is not only a visual feast of flowers, but also a useful meeting ground for gardening enthusiasts, as well as fun and frolic for children of all ages.
