Bogmalo Beach was formerly a small fishing village of Goa. Presently it is a favorite haunt of the large number of tourists who pour into this exotic state all throughout the year. Diving is the most basic attraction in Bogmalo. Very recently a diving school has also been opened up at Bogmalo where diving courses are also offered. This is one of the few places in India where such a course is being offered.

Goa has an almost similar climate throughout the year, with little difference in average maximum and minimum temperatures. During the summer months of April to June, the average maximum temperature is 34°C and the average minimum temperature is 26°C. The monsoon season (July to September) brings down the temperature to a minimum of 24°C and the maximum temperature fall to 31°C. In winter (November to March) the minimum temperature is 21°C and the maximum is 32°C. The best time to visit Bogmalo beach is November to February.

The nearest railway station is at Karmali 11 km away from Panaji.

By Road

One can reach Bogmalo by bus or taxi from Vasco da Gama which is around 8-km northwest. It is also near to the airport. Bogmalo Beach is reachable from this vital transit point too by buses, taxis and motorcycle taxis.

There are very few luxurious option present, overlooking the beach. There are a number of other mid range guesthouses in Bogmalo which are much more comfortable for short stay purposes.
