The balloon generally flies along with the speed of wind and hence the sky is desired to be clear and climate to be calm. The months of October to March are ideal for ballooning in India when the weather is free from any sort of meteorological hazards and a descent breeze always filling the ambience. Cool temperature of this season makes the balloon ride high in the sky a pleasant experience. During summers, you are requested to ride early in the morning in order to escape the scorching heat of the sun.


The best time to indulge in balooning is after sunrise when the winds are their calmest. Winter months provide the most reliable conditions, but during summer months its better take of early in the morning. The duration of ballooning flight can change at the pilot's discretion, taking into account the winds, temperature and weight carried on the day.

The best time for hot air ballooning is from October to March when the temperature becomes cooler. The cold climate makes the hot air inside the balloon lighter and enables it to rise and stay up for a longer period.
